Director

Mark.png

Mark started his career in the air conditioning industry back in 1996 as a trainee building services consulting engineer.  Then in 1999 he moved to work with a medium sized air conditioning contractor. He started with this contractor as a designer/estimator before advancing to become air conditioning sales manager. He worked for this contractor for 14 years, developing his knowledge and skills based upon various applications within the air conditioning (and refrigeration) industry.

In 2013 Mark started a new air conditioning company, formed as part of a group of companies. Starting this company as the sole employee (on his dining table) the company grew to have a multi-million pound turnover with 15 members of directly employed staff.

Forming and growing this company provided Mark with a wealth of general experience as well as furthering his air conditioning knowledge. But after being employed by other people all his working life, he developed his own vision of how he wanted a company to work and run. After almost 10 years, Mark was given the opportunity to start a business of his own, and Maple Mechanical Ltd was formed in September 2023.

In his spare time Mark likes to spend time with his family, including his wife, 4 children, 3 dogs (2 rescue and a Beagle), and 2 cats. He volunteers at a local dog rehoming charity as well as fostering dogs when needed. Alongside his family they have re-homed ex battery hens for the last 10 years. He was a keen football player until the onset of age determined that he was better at participating in the sport from his armchair. He is an avid supporter of Leicester City FC.

bobby sayers

junior engineer

Boby.png

Bobby finished school in 2022/23 getting all the GCSE’s that he needed in order to get into college. However, he decided to go straight into work, printing and designing signs. He yearned to do something more fulfilling so he looked into being an air conditioning engineer. Fortunately he knew someone who is highly skilled and experienced in the industry, Joe Ferguson. Joe introduced Bobby to Maple Mechanical and he’s been with us since June 2024. Bobby has learnt so much during this time, having gained a variety of skills such as getting his IPAF, helping with installations, and learning how to correctly work on a site safely and efficiently.

In his spare time, Bobby likes to stay in shape by going to the gym after work. He also plays Sunday league football with his mates and when he gets the chance he also enjoys a round of golf. When he’s not busy doing all of that he likes to spend time with his girlfriend and family. We don’t know how he fits it all in!

Bobby’s goal is to become a fully qualified air condition engineer, he says “achieving that goal seems more achievable then ever working with maple mechanical”
